Overseas cash withdrawal / purchase will be charged for “internet service fee” / “overseas transaction fee”. Only when using HSBC Everyday Global Visa Debit Card to withdraw / purchase with the supported currencies and the corresponding foreign currency account is sufficient, the above fee won’t be charged.

When using HSBC Everyday Global Visa Debit Card for overseas withdrawal from HSBC ATM: Free of operation fee for most of the cases, only HSBC ATMs in some countries/territories such as Argentina, Brazil, Malta, US^, Mexico, New Zealand and Turkey may charge an operation fee.

^Starting from August 01, 2024 (inclusive), if you use our bank’s debit card for oversea withdrawals at HSBC US ATMs, you may be charged the operation fee according to HSBC US local policy. 

HSBC Premier Account: For overseas cash withdrawal from Non-HSBC ATM, the first 50 times in one month are free of operation fee. HSBC will charge operation fee of NTD70 or the equivalent in other foreign currencies for each transaction since the 51st  time.

HSBC Advance Account: For overseas cash withdrawal from Non-HSBC ATM, HSBC charges NTD70 or the equivalent in other foreign currencies per transaction. Customers maintaining minimum balance requirements in the month can be refunded the operation fee of NTD 70 to the NTD demand deposit account in next month.

Other bank or company providing the Non-HSBC ATM may charge other fees as applicable.

In the following situations, the transaction rate and overseas transaction fee and other charged fee shall follow the General Agreement.

  1. When the transaction currency falls in one of the supported currencies but the corresponding foreign currency account is insufficient
  2. When the transaction currency does not belong to one of the supported currencies

For a Premier Account, a minimum, monthly average balance of TWD 3 million is required. If the Bank's requirement for minimum average balance is not maintained, the Bank shall have the right to collect the account administration charge of TWD 1,000 per month, prescribed by the Bank.

For an Advance Account, a minimum, monthly average balance of TWD 500 thousand is required. If the Bank's requirement for minimum average balance is not maintained, the Bank shall have the right to cancel all related benefits at any time.
